Registration and App Onboarding Parent Update Template

Use this when families need one clean start-here note for registration, the team app code, calendar, first-save links, and what to do first instead of piecing onboarding together from multiple messages.

Use this before the first week gets noisy. The onboarding problem is rarely one big missing detail. It is five small ones: registration, app code, calendar, who the note applies to, and which page to save first.

What the note must settle

The onboarding note should answer the first parent questions before they split into separate threads.

What to do first

Start with registration or signup, then the team app code, then the calendar and first-save links.

Who it is for

Say clearly whether the instructions apply to Cubs, middle school, high school, or the whole team.

Where updates live

Tell families where same-day changes go and which saved page should answer the most common first-week questions.

Copy-and-send onboarding note

This version works when a family needs the clean start-here version instead of a long seasonal archive issue.

Bears TC families, Please use this note as the start-here setup for the season. What to do first: - finish registration / signup - join the team communication app with the current code - save the calendar and the main parent resources page What to save: - the current calendar - the season-start packet or start-here page - the page that explains where same-day changes are posted What to know: - if your athlete is newly joining, late signup is okay as long as the registration step gets finished - if the app code, calendar, or first week plan is unclear, ask before the first practice instead of after the week starts - this note is meant to replace a scattered setup process, not add another layer to it The goal is simple: register, join the app, save the calendar, and know where updates go first. Short versions worth keeping

Late signup reply

Late signup is okay. Please start with registration, then join the team app, then save the current calendar and start-here note so your family is working from the right setup.

App / calendar reply

Please use the start-here note for the current app code, calendar, and first-save links. Those three steps should be in place before the first week gets busy.

Coach checks before sending

Make the first three steps obvious

  • Registration first, app second, calendar third.
  • Say what the family should save once and stop hunting for later.
  • Do not bury the app code or the main source-of-truth link.

Protect the handoff

  • Say where same-day changes go before the first schedule shift happens.
  • Tell late-signup families that catching up is normal.
  • Use this note when the family needs onboarding, not a full season archive dump.

Forms and Waivers Parent Update Template

Use the forms note when the family is already in the system and the real problem is missing paperwork, not initial onboarding.
